The Husarion ROSbot 3 PRO is a compact indoor unmanned ground vehicle built specifically for ROS 2 software development, SLAM research, and autonomous navigation experimentation. The PRO variant is distinguished from the standard ROSbot 3 by its upgraded perception stack: a Slamtec RPLIDAR S2 2D LiDAR and a Luxonis OAK-D Pro RGB-D camera replace the base model's lighter sensors, giving teams superior mapping fidelity, depth-aware perception, and more robust performance in environments with variable lighting and reflective surfaces. The 4-wheel drive base uses DC motors with independent quadrature encoders on each wheel, providing precise odometry data for localization and navigation pipelines.

Onboard compute is provided by a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8 GB RAM and a 64 GB microSD, paired with 2.4/5 GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi for remote teleoperation and ROS communication. Maximum translational speed is 1.0 m/s with a rotational rate of 420°/s, placing it squarely in the agile indoor platform category. Payload capacity of up to 5 kg and 1.5 to 5 hours of runtime from three protected Li-ion batteries support a full range of lab session and demonstration needs. The chassis is a 1.5 mm powder-coated aluminium plate structure measuring 200 × 233 mm, keeping the footprint compact enough for corridor and classroom experiments while the sensor tower adds 94 mm of height for LiDAR and camera mounting.
