Description
The Lierda MX880 is a 5G NR and 4G LTE router module, fitted here as a connectivity payload for the Deep Robotics X30 quadruped. It gives the robot a cellular data connection, so it can stay linked to its operators and software over a mobile network. It is an accessory; the X30 itself is not included.
Theoretical rates are 2 Gbps down and 1 Gbps up on 5G standalone (SA), 2.2 Gbps down and 575 Mbps up on non-standalone (NSA), and 600 Mbps down and 150 Mbps up on 4G LTE. It has two 10/100/1000M RJ45 Ethernet ports, a Micro SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, a USB Type-C port for module upgrades and a manual reset button, with a 32-bit dual-core processor, 256 MB of LPDDR3 and 32 MB of flash.
Band support decides where it will work. It covers 5G NR bands n1, n20, n28, n41, n77, n78 and n79, and LTE bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B20, B26, B28, B34, B38, B39, B40 and B41. A SIM card and data plan from a local operator are needed; check that the operator's network where the robot works uses one of these bands. Network compatibility and radio approval for your country are confirmed with the quotation.
Unlike the X30's camera and positioning payloads, the MX880 adds no sensing: it is the link that carries their data. The aluminum-alloy unit measures 131.5 × 88 × 27.4 mm, weighs about 300 g without antennas, runs from DC 9-36 V (12 V recommended) and is powered from and connected to the robot's control system. It operates from -20 °C to 70 °C at 5-95% relative humidity, non-condensing.
